My history
I work in IT Operations for a major UK public sector organisation. It doesn’t provide me with much of a creative outlet so I have recently been getting back into photography. As an enthusiast I have only recently been learning about the technical aspects of photography – previously I would simply point and shoot and then get frustrated when the picture doesn’t come out as I expected.
My photography
I live in the North of England and a lot of my pictures are of local towns, landmarks, nature, architecture and so on.
My writing
I believe that the best way to learn about something is to order your thoughts and write them down. Committing your thoughts to paper or screen forces you to deal with contradictions, incoherent thoughts and gaps in your knowledge. Perhaps some of the process will be interesting and worth posting to this blog.
